Paradyne’s BitStorm Products Enables High-Speed Access Service in Dallas Adam’s Mark Broadband Services Keeps High-End Hotel Chain on Cutting Edge of Technology DALLAS, HITEC – June 22, 2004 – Paradyne (NASDAQ: PDYN), a leading provider of broadband voice, data and video network access solutions, has deployed its BitStormä 4800 IP DSLAM in the Dallas Adam’s Mark, the largest hotel in Texas and a host hotel for this year’s HITEC conference and tradeshow. Paradyne’s BitStorm products have been created specifically for in-building and hospitality deployments. The solution enables high-speed access service that business travelers have come to expect, keeping the regional hotel chain competitive in today’s market. Installation is complete in more than 1,800 guest rooms, including all suites and meeting rooms in the Dallas location, making it one of the top high-tech hotels in the city. The Adam’s Mark Dallas hotel has been recognized by Mobile PC magazine as the “most wired” hotel in Dallas. The Adam’s Mark network was designed and installed by Paradyne’s Business Partner Frontier Computer Corp, of Dallas, Texas. Frontier incorporated the BitStorm product as the backbone of the network and used additional Servers and Systems for a secure Guest and meeting room environment along with in-room billing and Credit Card Processing. Paradyne’s new Wireless Access DSL modems are being employed exclusively in all meeting rooms. Frontier coupled the WAMS with a Meeting Room Scheduler system providing Adam’s Mark the capability to reserve rooms in advance and have the Internet access made available automatically for the duration of each reservation. This “first of a kind” solution provides totally automated provisioning of both wired and wireless Internet access in each meeting room.
